Ishion Hutchinson (*1983 in Port Antonio, Jamaica) is the author of the poetry collections "Far District" and "House of Lords and Commons". He is the recipient of this year's National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry, the Whiting Award, the PEN/Joyce Osterweil Award and the Larry Levis Prize from the Academy of American Poets. He is a 2017 Guggenheim Fellow, and will be the Joseph Brodsky fellow at the American Academy in Rome for 2017-2018. He teaches in the graduate writing program at Cornell University and is a contributing editor to the literary journals The Common and Tongue: A Journal of Writing & Art. "The Lord of Summer" was published with Jason Dodge's poetry press fivehundred places in 2015.
