“Doesn’t Michele de Lucchi’s design fulfil the promise of the artistic avantgarde – bluntly, to bring art into life – and, as Hal Foster puts it, “to resist ideology (e.g. of the sensuous particularity of the artwork not to be utterly subsumed in the ceaseless flow of images and information)”? Something to think about. However, myself, an appreciator of a good cup of coffee anytime anywhere, would not have chosen this particular coffee maker for that full rounded taste of a good shot of espresso…”
