Ines Doujak’s group portrait caused two curators to lose their jobs and a Barcelona exhibition to close. This is only part of the story though, as the scandal revolved around a sculpture and not an image that could be simply deleted. Now several years after the fact, what does the history of a cancelled object and its exhibition reveal about how the art world deals with controversy?
