Consequently, two pernicious trends have emerged: The first one is the pressure to create an interactive experience, which most often simply refashions the widespread conceptual apparatus of the 90s. The immersive dimension of so-called relational aesthetics is thus entirely absorbed in the escapist logic of the entertainment industry. The second is that art institutions foster a moral community, more often than not under the auspices of identity politics.”
